Since its conception deJavaHeritage has worked on developing a collection of unique and simple handicraft - home accessories that highlight the skill of the local craftsman of Bantul and their wonderful craftsmanship. Simple, clean lines combined with the use of as much natural and abundant materials as possible are key themes throughout the product range. Subsequently we will continue to introduce new and distinctive products to the market, all of which fall within our themes and earnest objectives.
At the moment, all deJavaHeritage handicraft-home accessories are hand made in Indonesia by local craftsmen using a range of raw and composite materials. We have been reluctant to focus on a particular type of wood, stone or style of product, instead focusing on the source of natural-based materials and their uniqueness to the market, hence our broad range of products. Currently our products are made of diverse natural materials. Other abundant and often waste materials such as bamboo, banana leaf, coconut, water hyacinth and rattan, and geological elements such as lava rock, granite and sandstone are also seen in our ranges.
